Team JANUS

A CanSat is a miniature satellite payload.

The CanSat container will have a compact Avionics Bay consisting of Pressure, Rotation & GPS sensors to collect accurate data. Apart from the modeling, designing, software development, sensor integration, and manufacturing, the CanSat will be tested on several bases, including recovery, release mechanism, construction quality, and material performance. The tests are Drop, Thermal, Vibration, and Vacuum.

Force Analysis Sorry, your browser does not support inline SVG. Sorry, your browser does not support inline SVG.

Considering parameters like drag force, decent velocity, the density of air, etc., the areas of the two parachutes are calculated. These factors are also used to determine the appropriate material for fabricating the container body.

The design of the container depends on multiple factors. The type of payload to be designed is the primary determining factor of container design. It is modeled to meet the requirements of the mission.

Activated audio beacon and the latest obtained GPS data will be used to locate the container and payload. The parachute's fluorescent orange & pink color will make it easily detectable.
